With four games remaining, Mo know they’ll finish inside the top four and will play in the season’s finale.
It’s been another magnificent campaign for the Links Park side regardless of how the play-offs pan out.
For the past six years they’ve finished inside the top four in either League One or Two and Dillon, part of the Dundee United side who just failed to win promotion to the Premier League through the play-offs in 2017, wants to help the side savour a promotion party.
“It’s nice to have it done and be in the position so early,” said the defender.
"We’ve been going through a process all season where we are trying to work through different schedules and are on another one at the moment which we started a couple of weeks ago.
"So we’ll stick to our plan.
"The guys in the background are doing a lot of good work making sure that things are set-up for us to give us the best opportunity.”
The play-off place was clinched at the weekend as Montrose beat Falkirk 3-0.
"We had a couple of other chances that we didn’t take advantage of but goals change games and they hot the crossbar at 1-0.
"It’s not like Falkirk didn’t have opportunities and I thought Allan Fleming was very good.”
Now Dillon wants to use his play-off experience to the club’s advantage after losing out in the past few.
"Since I’ve come to Montrose it hasn’t been as successful as we’d have wanted.
"It would be nice after all of that but there’s still a number of games to go.”
