Some 18 teams took to the famous 1562 Golf Links course .
With nearest the pin and longest drive spot prizes up for grabs, the course was awash with the usual banter, but ultimately it was the team placings that everyone was most focussed on.
And with ruthless precision, it was the first team out on the day, Montrose Community Trust, that not only returned to the clubhouse first, but also brought home the best score.
In second place was Montrose Has-Beens and in third was Hall Morrice Accountants.
