The incident happened on March 3 when play equipment at Carnoustie Beach Park was set on fire, causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage.
Police said it was the lastest in a series of similar incidents in the area.
PC Irvine of the Carnoustie/Monifieth Community Policing Team said: “As a result of these actions about £750 damage was caused to play equipment in the park. Not only does this put the equipment out of use for others, but it will cost the local council to repair the damage.
“Unfortunately, this latest incident is one of a number in recent times where fires have been set around the area of the park and nearby golf courses. Local officers will continue to carry out hi visibility patrols in the area.”
