Woodland garden open to visitors

A beautiful woodland garden at Lawton House, between Inverkeilor and Arbroath, will open this week for its wonderful display of snowdrops, aconites and crocuses.

Open from today (Thursday) through to Sunday from 10am-5pm, the gardens offer a stunning display of these early Spring bulbs, with a lovely gentle circular walk under beech trees, and into the walled garden,

Dogs are permitted on leads.

Lawton House, now owned by Simon and Cate Dessain, was previously owned by Elizabeth and Patrick Allan- Fraser who remodelled Hospitalfield House will also open in June this year along with gardens in Letham Grange and Ashbrook Nursery.

Admission will be £4, with children free.

Open under Scotland’s Garden Scheme, proceeds will be divided between participants’ nominated charities and Siobhan’sTrust.
