Whether the young ones like getting wet and wild outdoors, being active or arty indoors or just like meeting new friends…there’s something for everyone. From water sports and mountain biking; trampolining, climbing wall and football camps to treasure hunts, sensory sessions not to mention arts and crafts. Activities are tailored to suit all abilities, furthermore there are also disability and inclusion activities as part of our Biba (Be Inspired Be Active) programme including ANGUS ROCKS Climbing, Wheelchair Sports Camp, Superhero and Write a Comic Strip to name just a few.

A number of ANGUSalive Holiday Activities have received funding from Angus Council and the Scottish Government. This enables people to take part in activities for free and includes disability & inclusion, library and museum activities as well as swimming and inflatable sessions for 4 -17 year olds from July 1 – August 14.

Councillor Lynne Devine, Angus Council’s Children and Learning Convenor and ANGUSalive board member, said: “I’m delighted Angus Council can continue our partnership with ANGUSalive to offer free swimming for all school children in Angus and support fun activities during the Summer holidays including opportunities for our children and families with Additional Support Needs.”

Angus Libraries have also organised a number of events to celebrate Visit Scotland’s Year of Stories. All ages can join renowned wildlife author and conservationist Polly Pullar at Monikie Country Park on Tuesday, July 12. Polly will tell stories of her life working with wildlife and the animals she has rescued and hand reared. Children’s activities are also available at this session with a picnic/ BBQ provided for all attendees.

Scotland’s Year of Stories celebrates stories inspired by, written or created in Scotland, with a month long festival of events happening in July.

All of the summer holiday activities will run from July 4 – 12 August 12.
