A cracking line up of live bands, singers and musicians will be performing around the town as part of Mo-Live. Last Orders, Fish & The Kelpies, Junkyard Dogs, Midnight Shore, Voodoo Vibe, Calum Campbell, Katie Nicoll and Tequila Rose are just some of the acts on the line-up but there are many more on the bill.
Mo-Live was last held in 2019 and enjoyed huge support from music lovers across the region. Now organisers are pulling out all the stops to ensure Mo-Live 22 surpasses expectations of music fans in the town and beyond when it is held on Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29.
Almost 20 venues throughout the town including pubs, hotels and golf clubs, will host the live acts – some of whom are local to the area, and some are from further afield.
Organisers Stuart Thornton, Stewart Alves, Michael Knowles and Wayne Hall are co-ordinating the family-friendly music festival.
Stuart Thornton said: “We’re just so delighted that we can hold this excellent festival once again.
We’ve secured a huge variety of performers, from solo artists to ten-piece bands, covers, blues, soul and funk, rock and roll – there really is something for every taste and genre in music.”
He added: “It’s been a tough couple of years for the hospitality and entertainment industry and we’re doing what we can to support those in this sector while providing a fantastic weekend for locals and visitors.
It will just be so good to see people out and about enjoying themselves and Montrose has a great reputation for staging music events. We’re all really passionate about music and want to share that enthusiasm with the audiences.”
No booking or tickets are required for any of the performances, but any funds raised from the gigs will benefit local charities.
