Castle set for return of popular Christmas Market

The popular event is set to host over 30 food, drink and craft stallholders in the courtyard outside the historic castle on Saturday and Sunday, November 26 & 27 from 10am-4pm.

From Carnoustie’s award winning pie makers WEECook and Forfar-based sweet jam-maker Owen’s Angus Jams to The Dundee Gin Company and Melting Heart Tablet from Edinburgh, there’s a diverse array of gift ideas for visitors to browse. The Castle Gift Shop will also be open for shoppers to find even more gift inspiration.

A family-friendly event, there will be a professional face painter at the market for kids to transform into the favourite characters or animals. There will also be Sand Art sessions for those who enjoy arts and crafts. The grounds and gardens will also be open for visitors to unwind and explore during the market.

Most Popular

    As well as the wealth of gift inspiration, there will be lots of delicious food options on site for those looking for something on the move. Casa Di Gelato and Angus Grill and Larder will be there with a range of food options for those looking for something on the move.

    The Castle Kitchen restaurant will also be open for visitors for a sit-down coffee or a spot of lunch.

    Outside, the Hub Café will be providing takeaway hot and cold drinks and snacks as well.

    After a busy open season, organisers are looking forward to beginning the festive season.

    Steven Cumming, castle general manager, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming so many businesses both locally and from across Scotland to showcase their products at our annual Christmas Market.

    "Glamis Castle is a magical place at this time of year and we look forward to helping many people find the perfect gifts for loved ones as well as wonderful family day out.”
