Angus gardens named best value to visit in UK

Langley Park Gardens, near Montrose, has been revealed as the UK's best value wildflower garden to visit in spring following the research complied by South Western Railway.

It is one of four Scottish gardens to make it into the top 10 list.

The company compiled the list after tallying up admission prices, online ratings and reviews and analysing the number of times keywords including ‘spring’ and ‘wildflower’ were mentioned in reviews.

Calli Ward, Head of Marketing, said: “As a country renowned for its beautiful private and public gardens, there’s a vast array of flower gardens up and down the country to visit. It’s no wonder the great British love for gardens goes beyond our own back yard, we’re spoilt for choice with so many places open to the public.

“To help make the decision a little easier, we’ve found the top 10 to visit across the nation, so whether you’re in the East or South West, there’s a stunning floral display nearby.”

Entry to the gardens, which received 68 five star ratings on tripadvisor, costs £5, with children admitted for free. Further details can be found on the Langley Park Facebook page.
