The talented local group will perform the popular classic at Brechin City Hall from Wednesday, March 2 until Saturday, March 5 and they are looking forward to treading the boards again with such a well-known show.

Brechin Amateur Operatic Society (BAOS) is a musical theatre company who have been performing in the town since their revival in 1964.

Over the years, they have performed some much-loved classics alongside less familiar comedies but each one has been well received with incredible feedback from local audiences.

Hello Dolly! is the company’s first show to be performed live on stage since their forced closure back in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic and they cannot wait to be back in the venue and performing for the public once more.

Gill Matheson who will take on the leading role of Dolly Levi said:

"The society has been in my life for over 30 years, and I am delighted to be back rehearsing and performing with my BAOS family. The cast and company of Hello Dolly! have all been working incredibly hard, supporting each other through every rehearsal and the joy to be back rehearsing together can be felt from everyone in the room”

Brechin Amateur Operatic Society’s production of Hello Dolly! opens on Wednesday, March 2 and will run until until Saturday, March 5 in Brechin City Hall.
