The Coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown forced the group to cancel their previous tour which had been planned for 2020 but now that restrictions have been eased, it’s full steam ahead for their long-awaited gig.

Emerald Sunday guitarist and songwriter Alan Hunter said: “The Town Hall show was pencilled in for September last year but due to certain restrictions we were forced to reschedule the show.”

He added: “We’re really looking forward to playing live again and can’t wait to get on stage on Saturday night.”

The band will also be playing more live dates in Bradford, Manchester, and Dundee over the coming months.

Joining Emerald Sunday on their concert this weekend will be Oasis tribute act Stop the Clocks, local singer/songwriter Katie Nicoll and special guest Chris Helme formerly of indie legends, The Seahorses.

Catch Emerald Sunday plus guests live at Kirriemuir Town Hall on Saturday, March 5.
