Forfar Accordion & Fiddle Club enjoyed a successful return to at the weekend, with local player and guest artist Gavin Piper on the bill.

There was also a healthy turnout of audience members who went along to support the performances on Sunday night, with a mixture of new and familiar faces.

The club meets on the last Sunday of every month at the Royal British Legion on Academy Street, Forfar, and starts at 7.15pm and the evening also includes a raffle and half-time cup of tea.

While admission usually c osts £4 for members and £4.50 for non-members now until the end of the year the club will be free entry.

A post on the group’s Facebook post said: “ We want to get the music back on the go again and to put the smiles back on the faces of people who may have had a difficult last 18 months.”

Next month’ s guest artists will be Steven Carcary and Malcolm Ross on Sunday, October 31 at 7.15pm. Members and non-members will be welcome.
