It’s a quiet time in the club rugby calendar but Strathmore’s seconds still managed to find some competitive action over the weekend.

The Angus side used the afternoon to reschedule their match against Grangemouth Stags’ seconds which had been cancelled in October.

It wasn’t a high scoring encounter but that didn’t matter to the local club who were on the right end of a 19-0 scoreline.

Strath were leading 14-0 at half-time through tries by Jim Rowan and Glenn Feighan, with two conversions from Euan Duguid.

Despite being reduced to 14 men for 60 minutes, the seconds widened the gap through another Feighan try.
