Rain stops play but rugby fixture list will resume

Strathmore Rugby Club’s seconds had their scheduled fixture at the weekend washed out.

The Angus side were due to make the journey into Fife to face Rosyth Sharks.

But the game suffered due to the heavy rainfall at the end of the last week which made the pitch unplayable.

Club rugby will return to pitches this weekend and Strathmore’s firsts make the journey to face Perthshire.

Strath go into the game sitting seventh in the Tennent's National League Division 3 with their opponents two places behind them.

Elsewhere at the weekend, Carnoustie will host Harris Academy and Strathmore seconds are at home to Montrose/Arbroath.
