Exciting night's action in Fife for Angus racers

There was a minutes silence to commemorate the passing of Adam Brown who had been with GMP from the start of Newtongrange.

There was a good turn out of Saloon drivers which included local drivers from Brechin, Cameron Milne, Johnny Wood and the European champion Barry Russell and Peter Low, Forfar.

The opening heat was won by Eck Cunningham with Russell in sixth place whilst in heat two Jordan Cassie came out on top with Russell in fifth with Low in ninth after having been spun out of the lead.

The final was hard fought with Zak Gilmour winning from Stuart Shevill Jnr and Ian McLaughlin with the cars crossing the finish line nose to tail whilst Low ended up in tenth place but none of the other local drivers were classified.

In the prostock basics Colin Ogilvie, Brechin, and Martin Joy, Monifieth, were amongst those on the grid.

Kailum Greig won the opening heat with Ogilvie in ninth place before Lauren Ford won heat two with Joy in ninth place.

The final ended with Charlie Faichney winning with Ogilvie fifth but right at the end there was a heavy shunt with Joy and Callum Rennie crashing.

Lana Middler, Carnoustie, was racing in the micro F2s where she started off with an eighth place finish before adding two ninth places - the second after she had been caught up with another car and had lost ground.
