Bruce got off to a decent start in the Saloons finishing ninth in the first heat, however was then involved in a heavy crash in heat two which left him injured.

Gemma Russell and Barry Russell from Brechin were also at the track as Gemma was seventh in heat two and Barry was sixth in the final.

The next day brought a trio of top 10s for Barry at Racewall as he seventh in heat one, 10th in heat two and sixth once again in the final.

There was a huge field of nearly 40 Prostock Basics at Knockhill including Scottish champion Martin Joy from Monifieth.

Despite having to start at the back of the field Joy managed to work his way up through the field to claim eighth in the open race.

Harry Yule from Westmuir was a fourth place finisher in the first ever Micro F2 race at Knockhill.

He then went on to finish third in the second heat and seventh in the third heat.

Yule’s good form continued at Racewall as he was sixth in the first heat and then runner-up in the second.

He was joined in Cowdenbeath by Archie Grieve from Brechin was also 10th in the first race and in eighth in the second.

Grieve would save his best result of the day for the third heat as he came fifth.
