Angus drivers involved in the thick of the action
Peter Watt, Kirriemuir, was the local driver in action and he endured a tough time in his heats before being sent wide at the start of the mac 100 trophy.
Rhys Anderson, Brechin, was amongst big field of cars racing for the ministox open championship but in all of his races he was caught up in shunts and failed to grab a top 10 result in either of his outings.

On Sunday, under overcast skies, the formula II drivers were racing for their Scottish championship which was won by Ben Spence but Watt was out of luck and had to retire from the race.
The saloon drivers turned up in their numbers for their Scottish Championship and locals on the grid included Barry Russell, Brechin, Johnny Wood Brechin, Scott Brown, Brechin, Peter Low, Forfar and Logan Bruce, Brechin.
Within a couple of laps a massive shunt halted the race and amongst those who failed to restart were Wood, Brown and Low.

Hide AdRussell sat third but lost a place towards the close before regaining the spot after one of the leaders spun.
In the heats which followed Russell was the runner up in the first.
Anderson’s luck of getting caught up in all sorts of trouble continued on the Sunday and he failed to grab a top ten finish in any of his runs.
