Carnoustie Panmure hit the top of the Midlands League

At the weekend two penalties from Jamie Winter saw them take the three points against Kirriemuir Thistle at Westview Park.

The victory, coupled with Lochee United’s 1-0 win over then leaders Dundee East Craigie at Craigie Park, saw Panmure hit the top of the league by three points.

McGuire’s side have, though, played a game more than East Craigie.

On Saturday they’ll aim to build on the momentum when they host 12th placed Letham at Laing Park.

Kick-off is 2.30pm.

Elsewhere in the league, there were wins for Blairgowrie, Broughty Athletic, Coupar Angus, Dundee North End, Dundee Violet, Letham and Tayport.

Key fixtures for this weekend include Dundee East Craigie’s home tie against Lochee Harp and Arboath Vics’ trip to Dundee Violet.

Forfar United host Dundee St James, Forfar West End are at Scone Thistle and Kirriemuir Thistle make the trip to Tayport.

All kick-off at 2.30pm.
