True to recent form, it ended with another victory, Andy Kirk’s side beating Lossiemouth 3-0 away from home.

Goals came from Marc Scott, Cameron Ross and Michael Cruickshank as City ended the campaign in third position.

The league was won by Fraserburgh, who will now play-off for a place in League Two next season.

Brechin want to be in that position this time next year and manager Kirk has been setting about creating a squad capable of getting them there.

Three of the current squad this week committed their futures to the club, Seth Patrick, Kieran Inglis and Cruickshank all penning fresh deals.
Tireless midfielder Patrick, who has represented Zimbabwe at youth level, has impressed greatly since arriving from St Ives in January.

The 21-year-old has started all 14 matches since his arrival and has been central to City's recent run of 10 consecutive wins.

Manager Kirk said: "Seth has come in and given us loads of energy. He wasn't match fit when he arrived but he's now played a lot of games - he's a fit lad who likes to get about the park and press the opposition.”

Inglis has agreed a a one-year deal with the 21-year-old City's current longest serving player having initially signed from Dundee United at the start of the 2019/20 season.

He has made 85 appearances in total, netting 21 times.
Kirk added: "He's technically very good and he's improved again this season - he has that hunger and drive to get better. We're delighted to have him on board for next season."

Full-back Cruickshank has signed an extension to his contract which will keep him at Glebe Park for the 2022/23 season.

Cruickshank, who lives just several streets away from the Glebe, made his debut as a trialist against Fraserburgh in August.

Kirk added: "Michael has come in and improved a lot. He's a great lad with a really positive attitude and he's great to have in the changing room.”
