Craig Feroz, manager of Montrose FC Women, has been wasting little time in shaping his squad ahead of the new SWPL2 season.

Feroz has made a raft of new signings ahead of the season kicking-off against Stirling Uni.

Louise Brown joined the club this week, her name being added to those already signed during the close season including Antonia Adams, Tally Robb, Scarlett and Klara Brady, Haley Kern, Erin Ross, Megan Burns and Stacey McFadyen.

On his most recent signing, Brown, Feroz told the club’s social media channels: “We are delighted to finally capture Louise’s signature.

"I have admired her abilities as a footballer since I began coaching in the women’s game and have made a few unsuccessful attempts to sign her, but finally my perseverance has paid off.

"Louise is a player who I rate extremely highly and she will bring pace, power, aggression and determination to the squad and her work rate is second to none.

"Louise has came from playing at the top level and I believe that’s where Louise belongs.

"With the capture of Louise I believe we have carried out some amazing business in this transfer window and we now have a squad that can compete at this level.

"We will maybe look to add one or two more and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the club for their backing to allow me to create the strongest squad possible.”

The hard work for the new campaign is already underway at Links Park with the players recently returning for their pre-season training schedule.
