Police Scotland is appealing for information following a serious road crash on the A933 near Brechin.

The incident happened at around 3.15pm on Sunday, May 28, and involved a black BMW 120d.

Emergency services attended and the driver of the car, a 19-year-old man, was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee to be treated for serious injuries where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

The road was closed for around one hour and 50 minutes and re-opened around 5.05pm.

Sergeant David Farr said: “We are appealing for anyone with information that could assist with our crash investigation to get in touch.

“In particular, if you have dash-cam footage or were in the area and may have witnessed this incident, then please contact us.”
