The audience were enthralled by Mr Salmond's talk

The town of Arbroath had a visitor last week in the shape of former First Minister, Alex Salmond who was stopping off as part of his tour.

Wednesday evening, April 6, Mr Salmond addressed an audience in the assembly hall of The Webster Theatre Arbroath.

The date was ac tually very significant as April was the 702nd anniversary of "The Deceleration of Arbroath" signed by Scottish King, Robert The Bruce.

Alex Salmond did mention the famous signing but advised the audience he was in Arbroath to talk about "The Wee Alba Book" and his political party. Alex also met his local representatives and after his talk, Alex took questions from the audience.
