The ladies, and friends, organised a sponsored walk in aid of Macmillan Stracathro, raising £1020 which was presented recently to the NHS Tayside Health Fund.

The fund is a charitable foundation dedicated to enhancing healthcare services and promoting well-being in the Tayside region, and the donation will help to make a significant impact on the lives of patients and the quality of healthcare services provided within the community.

Members and their supporters were praised by the organisation for their commitment to raising funds for Macmillan Stracathro, as a testament to the community’s compassionate spirit.

Shelley McCarthy, charity chief officer at NHS Tayside Health Fund, said: “We are overwhelmed by the generosity of Westmuir WRI and their friends,

"Their dedication to improving healthcare and promoting good health in our community is truly inspiring. This donation will undoubtedly make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve.”

The £1,020 will directly benefit Macmillan Stracathro, enabling them to continue their invaluable work in providing support and care to cancer patients and their families. This contribution aligns perfectly with the mission of NHS Tayside Health Fund, which is committed to advancing healthcare services and well-being in Tayside.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “Westmuir WRI and their friends are commended for their unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the health and well-being of their community.
