Her Majesty’s cortege departed Deeside on Sunday morning and drove on a pre-planned route, under police escort, which included Angus and Dundee.

Led by a hearse carrying the Queen’s coffin, draped in the Royal standard and followed by a car carrying Anne, the Princess Royal, the cortege made its way down the A90 from Aberdeen.

On reaching Brechin, there was a stop of around 45 minutes at Brechin Castle where a huge crowd had gathered to pay their respects.
