Family and friends were made welcome, as well as members of the local community who went along to celebrate.

Everyone tucked into an appetising array of cakes and snacks with plenty of tea, coffee, cold drinks and ice cream. Entertainment was provided by The Noreen-Marie Geddes dancing school and the Travelling Ukes who played a selection of much-loved songs.

Aileen Alberts, Fordmill general manager, said: “Our staff and residents love the Queen and so they were excited to take part. It was so lovely to be able to invite our friends and family to come and join us for a proper celebration too.”
