Members of the public are being encouraged to submit their nominations for NHS Tayside’s Staff Appreciation and Recognition (STAR) Awards.

Since nominations opened last week, 176 have been received so far.

The awards celebrate the individuals, teams and services within NHS Tayside that deliver outstanding patient care or go the extra mile in their job.

Lorna Birse-Stewart, NHS Tayside chairperson, said, “I would like to thank those who have already taken the time to nominate their STAR for an award. I am delighted that 176 nominations have come in during the first week. This is a fantastic response.

Nominations can be made across seven categories covering all members of staff.

“So many of our staff do amazing things and deliver exceptional care day-in and day-out and they deserve recognition.

“It takes only a few minutes to nominate and I would like to encourage everyone to vote for their STAR this year.”

Nominations can be made in seven categories online at www.starawardstayside.scot.nhs.uk with the deadline at 5pm on Friday, July 22.

Anyone who has difficulty accessing the website or who needs assistance to complete the form can call the nomination phone line on 01382 632087 which is open Monday to Friday.
