The STAR Awards celebrate the people within NHS Tayside that deliver outstanding patient care or go the extra mile in their job.

It is quick and easy to nominate your STAR online at www.starawardstayside.scot.nhs.uk and both staff and the public have until 5pm on Friday, July 21 to make their nominations.

510 nominations have already been received from members of the public and NHS Tayside staff in the first two weeks but there’s still time for people to nominate their shining STARs.

Members of the public can nominate in seven categories - Clinical Staff, Support Staff, Top Clinical Team, Top Support Team, Global Citizenship, Young Achiever and Unsung Hero.

No matter what their job is, any member of NHS Tayside staff can be nominated, including medical and nursing staff, therapists, community staff, and support staff who work in the more ‘hidden’ departments that may not deal with patients on a day-to-day basis.

You can nominate in more than one category – you may wish to nominate an individual staff member as well as a team who may have looked after you or your family.
