Snakes and ferret in need of new homes

Two snakes and a ferret are the candidates for this week’s Pets of the Week, which are looking for new loving homes.

Luke is a cheeky ferret looking for his new family and is currently being cared for by the Scottish SPCA’s Angus rescue and rehoming centre.

Luke has a big personality and makes everyone laugh with his funny antics. He is happy to be handled although when overstimulated he can give a little nip.

He loves to snooze afternoons away in his hammock, although will always peek his head out if he hears his food packet being rustled.

Luke has lived with ferrets before and could again pending a successful introduction.

Tagliatelle is a cheeky corn snake which is currently being looked after by the charity’s Aberdeenshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

This Tagliatelle can be more on the spicy side, especially when it comes to protecting their vivarium.

Once they are out of their enclosure however they are usually happy to be handled.

They love to explore and enjoy using staff as a climbing frame.

Tangliatelle’s big personality means they have the potential to be a fantastic snake for the right owner.

Turtle is a lovely corn snake looking for a new home. They are currently being cared for by the Scottish SPCA Edinburgh and Lothians Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

Turtle has a very nice nature and would be a great snake for a first time owner. They are only 1.5 metres, but corn snakes are known to grow up to five to six metres.

Turtle’s new owner will have to provide a vivarium large enough for any sudden growth spurts.

Turtle has not yet been probed and so the society does not know their sex.
