The duo completed the 35-mile run to help Skilz buy a defibrillator.

Starting at 8am near the East Sands at St Andrews, they crossed the finish line at the PKS Arena Skilz Astro-Turf, where the defibrillator will be located, at around 1.40pm. They were welcomed by a crowd of family and friends.

Despite suffering cramps and sore legs on various parts of the run, Vicky and Dale were happy to complete the journey.

Rachel Osborne, from Skilz Academy, thanked Vicki and Dale for raising the sum, pushing them well beyond their target figure. The surplus funds will go towards extra free summer sport activities.
