Pets of the Week - Asparagus is just the tip of charity’s rehoming

Asparagus is a sweet cockatiel who is looking for a quiet place to spend his twilight years. Due to some feather loss, he is unable to fly as well as he used to. As a result, he would be best suited to a small aviary or a spacious indoor cage.
If you can give Asparagus his new home, please apply via the Scottish SPCA website: https://www.scottishspca.org/rehome-a-pet/12207-asparagus

Hide AdAurora is a gorgeous Alaskan malamute cross, an affectionate girl who will make a fantastic companion for the right owner. She is true to her breed and has boundless energy, and so is looking for an active family who can take her on lots of adventures.

Aurora can be quite chatty, especially when left alone. Any new owner will have to be aware of her noisy nature and work with her on her separation anxiety. She is not yet toilet trained, and will require further training to get her up to speed on house manners. She enjoys the company of other dogs and could potentially live with a canine companion pending a successful introduction.
Aurora would be best suited to an adult-only home, or to a family with older, dog-savvy children.
If you can give Aurora her new home, please apply at https://www.scottishspca.org/rehome-a-pet/12246-aurora

Hide AdCheddar is a lovely Guinea pig looking for a new home. He is currently being cared for by the Scottish SPCA Edinburgh and Lothians Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

Cheddar is a glamorous pig with a fabulous hair-do. He is looking for a family that will give him lots of cuddles as he is very sociable and loves to chirp and chat.
He has not got on well with other male Guinea pigs that he has lived with in the past, but he may get on well with female Guinea pigs once he has been neutered.
Cheddar will need a large enclosure where he can fully move around to exercise. He will also need enrichment activities to keep him healthy and entertained.
If you can give Cheddar his new home, please apply via the Scottish SPCA website: https://www.scottishspca.org/rehome-a-pet/12133-cheddar
