Pets of the Week - a new trio looking for new homes

This week, the Scottish SPCA is looking for new homes for a snake, rabbit and collie currently in its care.

Pea is a cute corn snake looking for a permanent home. They are currently being cared for by the Scottish Angus, Fife and Tayside Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

Pea is an adorable young corn snake who would make a fabulous serpentine companion for the right owner. They are friendly, active and very well-handled.

Pea has not been probed yet and so the society is not sure of their gender at present. Any potential new owner will need to have knowledge of corn snakes and have the correct set up for Pea to thrive.

Lara is a cute rabbit looking for a new home to call her own. She is also currently being cared for by the Angus rescue and rehoming centre.

Lara can be a little shy at first, but she is friendly once she gets to know you. She hasn’t been spayed yet, but once she has, she could be rehomed with a fellow rabbit pending a successful introduction.

Tina is a lovely border collie looking for a new home and is currently being cared for by the Edinburgh and Lothians Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

Tina came into the Scottish SPCA as a scared and timid dog, but has since made leaps and bounds after being shown love and encouragement by the Society’s staff.

Any potential adopters will have to commit to working with Tina on her socialisation and on building her confidence so that she can continue with her hard work.

Tina would like to live in a quiet, rural home with no children. She is a big fan of treats, which will be a great help in continuing her training.
