Light show attracts thousands to historic castle

The trail, a brand-new light show combining light installations and classic children’s stories, launched on October 29, with its final evening on November 7 and organisers are keen for the show to return next year.
Visitors explored the historic castle’s grounds and gardens under moonlight discovering an array of atmospheric installations amongst the trees including a troll bridge and illuminated greenhouses inspired by Jack and the Beanstalk.

Hide AdHelen Buchanan, castle general manager, said: “This event was magical as we were able to welcome so many visitors of all ages to experience A Trail of Tales. As is often the case in Scotland, the weather created a few challenges along the way, but we didn’t let it spoil the event and the feedback from visitors has been very positive.”
The castle’s next event will be its Christmas Market, which will run on Saturday, November 27 and November 28, which will feature more than 50 stall-holders.
