Kickboxing sisters take gold in competition

Twin sisters Amber & Iona Thomson both from Friockheim, have recently returned from a Kick-Boxing competition in Barnsley.

Amber won a Gold medal and four Bronze medals, while her sister Iona won a Gold and two silver medals.

The girls, both 16, train regularly at Skyaxe kick boxing club in Dundee. For their weight and age group they currently hold between them the English, Scottish, British and World Champion records.

The sisters live with their Mother and Brother in Friockheim and are currently raising funds to help them get to Carrera, Italy, in October to compete in The Unified World Championship Kick-Boxing competition.
