Community partnership delivering 'Blue Light Garden' in Carnoustie
Police in Carnoustie have teamed up with local residents and organisation to develop the land around the town’s police station into a community garden.
The Blue Light Garden is being professionally designed on the vacant and featureless ground on the North Burnside Street, and is being delivered through a team of volunteers, local businesses, and community partners.

And Police Scotland has said that feedback will be welcomed on the proposals and how the space could best be used for the benefit of the local community.
Carnoustie Local Policing Inspector Mahboob Ahmad said: “The Blue Light Garden is a volunteer-led community project, bringing together local residents, businesses, and community partners to transform an unused area around Carnoustie Police Station into something positive for the community.
“The garden will support local wildlife and biodiversity, plus provide a positive community asset.
“We are looking for input from residents on how to develop it and what they would like to see in it. I’d like to thank all-partner organisations and volunteers who have helped get the project to this stage.”
Anyone wishing to provide feedback, or find out more about the project, will be able to speak to volunteers at the Co-Op, High Street, Carnoustie, on Tuesday, September 22, between 12pm and 1.30pm, where plans can be viewed.
