Some enterprising strings pupils from Arbroath have been putting their musical talents to good use to raise money for charity.

Under the supervision of string steacher Heather Miranda, the pupils from Inverbrothock Primary, Muirfield Primary and Timmergreens Primary schools have been giving up their own time to busk to raise money.

They have raised case for the RNLI, WWF, #TeamSeas, Oxfam, the Scottish SPCA, NHS Tayside’s Armitstead therapeutic nursery and Timmergreens PTA. The children chose all the charities themselves.

The strings pupils of Ladyloan Primary are also planning to do a busk for charity after the summer holiday.

Some of the pupils also recently met Arbroath children who use the nursery at Armitstead and presented the sensory toys purchased with their busking proceeds.
