A recent fundraiser at Morrisons in Arbroath exceeded the organisers’ hopes by raising £700 for children’s charity Together for Short Lives

The charity’s butterfly flew into the store as part of a month-long nationwide Butterfly Trail relay event to raise vital funds for seriously ill children and their families.

The butterfly travelled across the supermarket chain’s 525 stores, spending a day in each with the aim of raising £500 before being passed on to the next store.

Together for Short Lives is the UK’s leading children’s palliative care charity, and its partnership with Morrisons is raising vital funds for hospices across the country and helping families make precious memories together. The charity hopes that the relay will raise £250,000, which could enable 250 families to have much-needed respite care at their local hospice.
