Angus rehoming centre seeking permanent homes for small animals

Gunther the ferret has been in the centres care for more than 350 days.

The Scottish SPCA is seeking homes for the small and exotic animals in the care of its Angus rescue and rehoming centre.

The animal welfare charity has been caring for the animals for a combined total of 1318 days but they have unfortunately been overlooked.

On in particular is approaching a year of being looked after.

Dale Christie, centre assistant manager, said: “We’re currently trying to find forever homes for seven ferrets, three rats, two snakes, a rabbit, and a pair of Guinea pigs.

“Our longest small resident is Gunther, a curious ferret who has been with us for over 350 days.

“He loves to interact and explore making lots of noises as he goes.

“Gunther would love a large enclosure with plenty of space, toys, and enrichment to keep himself entertained.

“Any children in the home would need to be teenagers as he can nip when playing.

“We are desperate to find loving homes for all of our small animals like Gunther.”
