Sea No Waste in Arbroath is passionate about tackling plastic pollution.

The store is passionate about tackling plastic pollution and their goal is to eliminate single use plastics from our shopping.

Sea No Waste owner Sammy Reid was thrilled with the news. She said: “It was lovely to be nominated but to win is truly amazing seeing as we have just celebrated our three-year anniversary!”

She is also proud of what they have achieved since opening their doors in 2018.

“We stock over 270 loose food items and a range of plastic free alternatives that have no impact on the environment. Our ethos is to be completely plastic free for our customers.

We encourage customers to bring their own containers of any size and refill rather than buying new. We are budget friendly as customers are not having to pay for packaging.”

“Working though Covid has been hard and we were on the verge of closing due to the lack of walk-ins so we had to adapt by offering online orders and local free deliveries.”

She added: “When we got the call to say we had been nominated for Eco Store of the Year at the Scotland Prestige Awards we were so surprised. I wish I knew who nominated us so we could thank them. It was a real boost after such a hard year. “
