She introduced a fellow member, Helen Robb who showed the ladies how to create a festive table decoration.

She expertly showed how a selection of greenery and a ribbon and bauble or two can make a stunning display. She then helped everyone to make their own version.

The resulting creations were all worthy of praise. Linda Ramsey led the vote of thanks to Helen.

The competitions were judged by Rena Russell: A slice of quiche – 1 Lesley Masson, 2 Ann Hamilton, 3 Ann Frith; A single autumn flower - 1 Ann Findlay, 2 Ella Sinclair, 3 Sylvia Tasker.

Janice Swankie announced that as a result of last month’s competition for premature baby hats, 49 were received as well as 14 baby blankets and a baby jacket. These will be delivered to special baby unit at Ninewells as soon as possible.

Valerie closed the meeting and reminded everyone that the next meeting would be on Monday December 13, and that the competition would be for a decorated biscuit and a Christmas card using any craft, and wished everyone a safe journey home.
