The centre is currently caring for five dogs, eight cats, and six ferrets and is running extremely low on dry adult dog food, ferret food, and cat litter.

Items can be purchased from the centre’s Amazon wish list or via any other online retailer offering direct delivery to the centre.

Dale Christie, the centre’s assistant manager, said the items are necessary for the animals’ continued care and comfort

He said: “We are in desperate need of essential food and cat litter for the animals in our care. We are always extremely busy at the centre and have a lot of hungry mouths to feed.

“We are in need of dry adult dog food and ferret food to keep our animals like Duke and Hamish happy and healthy. We are also in need of cat litter to keep our felines like Badger happy and clean.

“Your support means that we can continue to provide the best possible care for the animals at our centre. We’d be so grateful for any donations that people can spare and we know our cats, dogs, and ferrets will be too!”

Cat litter and food can be donated via the centre’s Amazon wish list at https://amzn.to/3NkVrfq or sent from another online retailer that can deliver. Items can also be handed in between 1pm and 4pm to the centre’s reception at Petterden (DD4 0QD) just off the A90 between Forfar and Dundee .
