An empty chair and a set table with a lit candle was to remember fallen comrades.

Guest of honour was Major General Andrew Whitehead CB DSO, the former Commanding Officer of 45 Commando during Operation Corporate – the Falklands War.

The evening was organised by Sgt Phil Scothorne, chairman of the East of Scotland RMA.

After the meal those present enjoyed some dancing and a great night was had by all, with the former ‘bootnecks’ reminiscing of glory days gone by.
