The club has donated £590 to ShelterBox to help its operation to support those displaced by the disaster.

The charity is an international relief organisation that provides emergency shelter and other aid items to families who have lost their homes to disaster or conflict

The earthquake was followed by Storm Grace, which dumped more than a foot of rain over some of the worst-affected areas.

Thousands were left without homeless and with nowhere to shelter.

Forfar Rotary donated the cost of a box, which typically contains a disaster relief tent for a family, thermal blankets and groundsheets, water storage and purification equipment, solar lamps, cooking utensils, a basic tool kit, mosquito nets and children’s activity pack.
