Proceeds of Kirrie church book sale to benefit Ukraine relief appeal

The Glens & Kirriemuir United Parish Church Book Sale is back, this year on Saturday, March 12, from 10am to 4pm in the church hall.

And all the money raised at the sale will go to the Disaster Emergency Committee – Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

DEC charities are already in Ukraine and neighbouring countries to meet the needs of all refugees and people displaced by the conflict.

The UK Government will match pound-for-pound up to £20 million donated by the public to this appeal.

There will be a huge selection of fiction, non-fiction and children’s books at the sale. Entry is free.

The event will continues on Monday, March 14 between 10am and 4pm and Tuesday, February 15 from 10am to 2pm.

If you would like to donate books, they can be delivered to the church office on Thursday (February 10) from 9.30am to 4pm or 9.30am to 12pm the following day.
