The open event, on Tuesday (June 7), has been organised to coincide with Volunteers’ Week to allow the public learn more about looking after a future guide dog.
The charity is appealing for animal lovers in various roles, including puppy raisers and fosterers who care for dogs in their own home, and dog well-being volunteers who work in the day care facilities at Forfar.
The information sessions will take place at the Orchardbank centre between 5.30pm and 7pm.
Aaron Puckrin, volunteering co-ordinator said: “Guide Dogs relies on volunteers to help deliver our services and we have many and varied volunteer positions across the charity.
“The event will consist of a presentation and tour of the facilities, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions of our expert staff.
“From working directly with our dogs, supporting our reception team or working as a fundraiser attending local events, we have a role to suit everyone.”
