With a fine show of community spirit, local residents, along with 16 students from Dundee and Angus College, who were all ably assisted by Arbroath Rotarians, completed a large tidy and clear-up exercise on the site of the planned Townhead and Noran Community Space

Donations from the Communities Mental Health and Well-being Fund, William Coull Anderson Trust, Scobie Church Fund, Arbroath Guildry, Arbroath Rotary Club, the provision of skips by Geddes and the supply of a pick-up truck by local business MacKay Boatbuilders all helped to make the clear-up possible.

Support for the project has also been provided by Angus Council’s communities team, housing and parks departments and local Councillor Lois Speed who have also contributed greatly to its progress.

A spokesman for Arbroath Rotary Club said: “This is a fine example of a community-driven project which benefits all the residents in the Townhead Road and Noran Avenue area of the town.”
