The annual Tarfside Challenge started at Arbroath’s Hercules Den and took the entrants from Aberdeen, the Dundee Wheelers, Fife and Arbroath over challenging terrain to Tarfside at the top of Glen Esk and back to Arbroath – distance of 65 miles.

The event was to raise funds for Horseback UK, a charity which offers riding lessons to those who have suffered life-changing injuries or from PTSD in a bid to aid their recovery. The Tarfside challenge was organised by Ian Wren, a fundraiser for the organisation.

Ian has extended his thanks all those who took part, and the main sponsors, Morrison & Lidl Supermarkets, and Scot Medical who supplied the medics to cover the event.
