The FNP, marked the anniversary with a party in the park event in Dundee, is a voluntary home visiting programme for all eligible first time parents in Tayside aged 19 or under at the start of pregnancy.

The programme involves regular home visits by a specially trained family nurse to support young parents from early pregnancy until the child’s second birthday.

The service has been available in NHS Tayside from 2011 and more than 1700 young families have benefitted from being part of the FNP programme since it was introduced.

Further information is available on the NHS Tayside Family Nurse Partnership website and from GPs, midwives or other healthcare professionals.
