Donation saves Scout group's camping trip

While the cost of living crisis is curtailing many people’s activities and pastimes, one Angus Scout group is celebrating after a generous donation saved its annual camp.

The Kirriemuir Scout Group recently received a donation of £400 from the North Angus SAS First Aid group.

The group provides first aid for events locally across the county and uses its proceeds to maintain a fund to which Scout Groups can apply for funding.

The £400 will be used to enable young people to attend a week-long camp which would otherwise be unavailable to them due to the current financial climate.

Scotjam is held annually at Scout Adventures at Lochgoilhead and is attended by Cubs from all over Scotland.
