The show returns after the sell-out successes of his previous tours and countless five star reviews.
The Italian was devastated to have to put the 2020 tour on hold just a couple of weeks after opening night, performing just a handful of shows out of his 65 date tour.
Speaking at the time, Giovanni said: “Never wanted this moment to arrive. Thank you to all of the amazing audiences we have had and apologies to those that haven’t seen the show yet.
I hope we will be able to return soon...”
However, it has turned into a two year wait for his fans, as they eagerly await his return in 2022.
Pernice has become a firm fan favourite, having been a professional dancer on the hit BBC TV show since 2015 and has reached the final three times, with Georgia May Foote, Debbie McGee, and Faye Tozer respectively.
In 2019, Giovanni made it to Blackpool with Michelle Visage, leading him to hope that 2020 might be the year all his dreams would come true and he could win the coveted Glitter Ball trophy, saying:
“I dream about that trophy every night, you know, it’s what it means to you! I would love to sleep next to that trophy for the rest of my life. But seriously, I just feel very lucky to have been on the show for so long and to have had such great partners.”
But sadly, it wasn’t to be when he and his dance partner, journalist Ranvir Singh, narrowly missed out on a place in the final.
The professional dancer has said THIS IS ME is his ‘biggest and best ever tour to date’.
He added: “I just want to try and do something different, something that you haven’t seen before. I want to challenge myself and show off my hidden talents!”
The showman is set to light up the stage once again, along with his cast of professional dancers, for another fabulous year of touring.
With the Italian’s natural charm, combined with beautiful choreography perfectly complemented by a fabulous soundtrack, THIS IS ME pays homage to the music and dances that have inspired Giovanni’s career, from a competition dancer to one of the biggest names on the hit BBC show.
Tickets can be booked directly through the theatre or at .
A limited number of VIP Meet and Greet tickets are also available at each venue.
THIS IS ME will take in venues around the UK and Ireland and will be at The Webster Memorial Theatre, 64 High Street, Arbroath on Friday, 18 March, 2022.
