The painting, on the wall of the Thistle Bar at the East Port, is one of a number around the town, part of Forfar Action Network’s Gala Art project.
Lynne Devine from FAN said: “This is the second of Forfar Gala Art's wall paintings which has been done by Victoria Wylie.
"It has had so many wonderful words said about it both online and to the artists while she's been painting, as it brings colour to the wall of the Thistle Bar and contrasts beautifully with Ian Bain's photo above it.”
The picture is an abstract landscape, taking cues from other Forfar-inspired paintings by Victoria, specifically from the area around the Benzil looking over the Carse Gray estate to the Angus Hills. Its design was also influenced by the light and colours of the time of year.
