The battery, officially Royal Artillery, have had an association with 45 Commando for more than 50 years.

The respectful Departure Ceremony (RDC) took place at RM Condor on Thursday, with a service held in The Woodlands Memorial Garden, where a memorial stone to the battery is on prominent display. A group of serving members arrived from Royal Citadel Plymouth where the unit is based.

Also attending were families of those Commando Battery R.A. who lost their lives in the line of duty.
